Pachybolini
General description:
Tribe Pachybolini was first used by Wesener et al. (2008: 43)[1] as “PACHYBOLINI new tribe, nomen translatum ex family Pachybolidae Cook, 1897”. The name was used by Wesener (2020: 108)[2] as “tribe Pachybolini Wesener & Enghoff, 2008”. The authorship of the name is governed by the Principle of Coordination applied to family-group names, Art. 36.1 of the ICZN (ICZN, 1999)[3]. The correct authorship of the name is tribe Pachybolini Cook, 1897. The term “nomen translatum” is not defined by the ICZN. The Code-compliant way of referring to Pachybolini is governed by Art. 37.1, the term being “nominotypical taxon”.
