Tribe Zephroniini was first used by Jeekel (2001: 13)[1] as “Tribe Zephroniini nov.”. The name was used by Likhitrakarn et al. (2021: 13)[2] as “Tribe Zephroniini Jeekel, 2001”. The authorship of the name is governed by the Principle of Coordination applied to family-group names, Art. 36.1 of the ICZN (ICZN, 1999[3]). The correct authorship of the name is tribe Zephroniini Gray in Jones, 1843.
