Abstract:

A new genus of dragon millipedes, Burmaxytes, is described from Myanmar, based on two new species: B. mombergi (type species) from Kayin State, and B. whitteni from Mon State. The new genus, constituting a sixth group of dragon millipedes, is discussed, and a distribution map is provided. The two new species were exclusively found living on humid limestone rock walls, and are endemic and restricted to limestone habitats in Myanmar.
