I recently met  with a very small specimen of this type of myriapod with seven  pairs of legs. The claws are simple, as in the adults, the same as I have observed in larval specimens of Julus and Trichopetalum, and in both adult and immature specimens of Eurypauropus. The mouth parts are a miniature of those of the adult. The specimen was nearly an eighth of an inch long.
